The results indicated that the residents in Bangkok perceived the information regarding AEC entry in 2015 from television the most, followed by the Internet and newspapers respectively. The level of public perception of the AEC entry was at the moderate level and the information perceived was mostly about Thailand, Singapore and Myanmar. Furthermore, the information needs of the public regarding entry to the AEC in 2015 was about the development of trade, tourism and education respectively. The information should preferably be transmitted via television, the Internet, newspapers, radio broadcasting and special events respectively.
Moreover, it was found that Bangkok residents of different genders, ages, and incomes have no differences in the level of perception of the ASEAN Economic Community. However, differences were found among those with varying education and media exposure.
