Abstract

       The purpose of this research were to (1) study factors related to aging society in Tung Tom Sub-district Municipality, San Pa Tong District, Chiang Mai Province, and (2) propose a model for dealing with aging society for Tung Tom Sub-district Municipality. The authors employed a quantitative method by using a questionnaire survey of 400 elderly respondents in Tung Tom Sub-district Municipality. Data analysis technique included factor analysis and multiple regression analysis models.

            Research findings were as follows. Factors related to the aging society in Tung Tom sub district Municipality consist of elderly needs, elderly problems, and elderly capacity. A potential model for dealing with the aging society in Tung Tom sub district Municipality must be responsive to the elderly’s needs and problems.
