The Condition and Needs of the Development of Information Technology Competencies of Retired Teachers in Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the conditions and needs of the development of information technology competencies of the retired teachers in Chiang Rai province. Used survey method. The population was the retirement teachers under the Chiang Rai Teacher Savings Cooperative. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire with 0.9483 reliability. Data were collected by purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results of the study on the need for development of information technology competency was found that: the highest average mean in high level was the ability to use a tablet computer. The others were in moderate level as followed: the ability to image editing simply by adjusting the color and add text to the image, the ability to use communication applications such as the LINE, and the ability to use the smartphone.
