Abstract

This research’s objectives are 1) To monitor the evaluation of the non-smoking prototype development project Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. 2) To support the implementation of the project to achieve its goals. This research is a mixed-use research (Mixed Method Research). In-depth interviews and discussion groups. The concept of the CIPP Model of Stuffle Beam is used as an analytical tool. Context and Conditions Factors Affecting Working Groups Both the monks and novices, with the concept and the interview as a tool. And descriptive analysis.
Findings were as follows:
1. That all campuses operate the projects with the same goal as they want to make Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University a non-smoking area. However, different environments of each campus lead to different results in many ways including project performance, project operation and policy. We see positive changes in several campuses which have good response. In these campuses, the project participants are smoking less and some of them already quit smoking. They feel inspired and proud to be a part of the team who help solve the social problem.
2. By using the CIPP evaluation model, the researcher found that the Buddhist monk students can work step by step. They set a plan before seeking the cooperation from the others. They get input which is a crucial factor for the success of this project. The outcomes of the pilot non-smoking area development are knowledge and understanding which later are developed into five pilot non-smoking areas in the campuses, Buddhist monk colleges and classrooms in the region. The project helps the Buddhist monk students to improve their teamwork skill, project management, systematic thinking process. It encourages the campus management team to issue and implement the regulation to prevent the smoking in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University.
