RESEARCH FOR LEARNING DEVELOPMENT IN THE SOCIAL STUDIES, RELIGION, AND CULTURE

Abstract

The learning area of social studies, religion, and culture is the multidisciplinary subject that consists of five strands: 1) Religion, Morality, and Ethics, 2) Civics, Culture, and Living, 3) Economics, 4) History, and 5) Geography. The learning area of social studies, religion, and culture is important for the learners because it relates to the living, the problem solving, and the self-performance in the society. The learners will thus adjust themselves for the world change and become the happy citizens in the world community. The instructors of the learning area of social studies, religion, and culture in the 21st century have to use more several learning techniques. Moreover the instructors have to be the teacher-researchers that use the research to be the part of learning process or classroom management process for problem solving and learning development for the learners.
