Abstract

The purposes of the current study were to 1) investigate factors affecting efficiency developing of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8, 2) develop a model for developing efficiency of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8, and 3) investigate the effect of the developed model on efficiency developing of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8. The
study was separated into 3 phases as follow. The first phase studied factors affecting efficiency developing of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8. 6 questionnaires including 1) teacher development, 2) administration, 3) teacher support, 4) teamwork, 5) organizational commitment, and 6) teacher satisfaction were used to collect the data from 238 teachers. The result of the study showed that only 4 factors affect efficiency developing of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8 including teacher development (Beta = 0.243), teacher support (Beta = 0.101), teamwork, (Beta = 0.393), and teacher satisfaction (Beta = 0.150). Coefficient of Determination showed at the level of 0.543 (R2 = 0.543)
The second phrase aimed to develop a model for developing efficiency of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8 using the result of the previous stage. Workshop, focus group, and brain storming were applied to develop the model. The result of the study was analyzed from comments of experts and brainstorming of the target group. It was found that the model for developing efficiency of teachers in Phrapariyattidham
Schools in General Education Division Group 8 could consist of 12 activities including 1) teamwork, 2) learning and developing activities for personnel, 3) “My paper Volume 1, 4) learning plan creation, 5) teaching strategy making, 6) teaching evaluation, 7) teaching technology, 8) teaching media, 9) teaching environment, 10) self-learning, 11) teaching role, and 12) role playing. The third phase was to investigate the effects of the developed model on efficiency
developing of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8. 16 teachers from Wat Matchim Buri Phrapariyattidham Schools, Nonghan District, Udonthani Province were participants. The one group experimental design was applied, and the data were analyzed by the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result of the study indicated that efficiency of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8, before and after the model, were different with the statistical significance at the level of .05. The score of the participants was higher after applying the model. It could be interpreted that the model for efficiency developing of teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools in General Education Division Group 8 could improve efficiency development of the teachers in Phrapariyattidham Schools. Keywords : model, An Efficiency Developing.
