Abstract

This study aimed to examine a model and solid waste management effectiveness by the all – section participation process and by comparing attitudes and left solid waste quantities on the Lampao Reservoir tourist site before and after operation. The results of examination from 60 persons involved revealed that the use of the all – section participation process to find out a guideline for solid waste management could cause clearer division of responsible duties, classification of solid waste, regulation for no solid waste dropping on the tourist site, provision of person on duty to collect solid waste, improvement of laying out solid waste bins not to block the tourist site scenery, and the solid waste transporting by Tambon Lamklong Administrative Organization for elimination by burying it in the pits of Kalasin Municipality. The attitudes of those involved in solid waste management became more positive at the .05 level of statistical significance (P = 0.000). It was also found the left solid quantity decreased to be at 22.35 percent of that before the operation.
