Green purchasing is a strategy that creates a competitive advantage for businesses. Implementing a green purchasing strategy in the organization requires the cooperation of the employees through the policy of executive. It is also considered as a role in social responsibility that leads to the process of quality production which helps to reduce the impact on the environment, and encourage a consumption awareness and a decision of customers to buy eco-friendly products. The objective of this research is to develop the causal model of executive commitment, customer pressure, green purchasing, and business performance of manufacturing industries in Thailand. Related literatures and documents were reviewed and findings are presented through descriptive analysis in terms of executive commitment, customer pressure, and green purchasing relating to business performance of manufacturing industries.
