Human Alienation in Modern Society

Abstract
This paper’s objective is to propose definitions and types of human alienation in modern society by using documentary analysis as its methodology. The study found that alienation is a condition in which humans separate themselves from the nature of all things related to human life. Alienation can be categorized into four types which are: alienation from one’s self, alienation from one’s work, alienation from society and culture, and alienation from natural environment. Interestingly, “the economic value” of the capitalist system nowadays might be a part of the human alienation in modern society.
ความแปลกแยกของมนุษย์ในสังคมสมัยใหม่
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอเกี่ยวกับความหมายและประเภทของความแปลกแยกของมนุษย์ในบริบทสังคมสมัยใหม่ ด้วยวิธีวิเคราะห์เอกสาร โดยพบว่า ความแปลกแยก หมายถึง ภาวะที่มนุษย์แยกออกห่างจากความเป็นธรรมชาติของสิ่งทั้งปวงที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับชีวิตมนุษย์ โดยความแปลกแยกนี้แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ประเภท คือ ความแปลกแยกจากตัวเอง ความแปลก-แยกจากการงาน ความแปลกแยกจากสังคมวัฒนธรรม และความแปลกแยกจากธรรมชาติแวดล้อม และเป็นที่น่าสังเกตว่า “มูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจ” ของระบบทุนนิยมปัจจุบันอาจมีส่วนให้เกิดความแปลกแยกของมนุษย์ในสังคมสมัยใหม่ได้มากขึ้น
