AbstractThe objective of this study was to investigate core competencies of supporting staff used to promote Silpakorn University’s strategies in order to be a learning organization. The populations from which the samples were drawn were nine high-level university administrators including the president, eight vice-presidents and fourteen deans. The data collection instruments were semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis statistics used were percentage and rank. The results ranked each of the main competencies based on their degree of importance were 1) life-long learning competency; 2) ICT literacy competency; 3) communication competency; 4) team work competency; and 5) holistic thinking competency. A unit of Competencies consists of competency title, definition, and behaviors indicating competency’s content.
