Abstract

This article aimed to study the processes of transnational human trafficking in Thailand as the original country. The study had been conducted by the qualitative approach and applied the in-depth interview with 12 of Thai migrants who were victimized and 6 of human traffickers. In addition, the semi-structure interview was used with 12 persons who were the anti-transnational human trafficking in Thailand. Data analysis had been done by using the data processing, data categorizing, and the relation scheme synthesizing. The results found that Thai victimized migrants had become human trafficking victims during their migration. They were persuaded and deceived to work in the destination countries or some regions of Thailand. They were also exploited by extorting travel fees, for drug addicted victims, they were allured and deluded to have free drugs. The legal transnational victimized migrants were deceived to travel by fraudulent passport and restricted duration documents and threatened. For the unwilling victimized migrants, they always were kidnapped by applying anesthetic in food, beverages or drugs. The addicts usually were enticed by the drugs, kidnapped or menaced to take money / assets. When the migrants arrived at the terminal country hey were bought by the employers and endangered. Some were attacked and hold to work and often utilized. The sex workers were exploited for whoredom. Some workers were forced to work as prostitutes without pay. The employers usually took advantages of the labours by giving excess working hours and extra jobs without extra pays. Labours who worked in fishery business were threatened, abused, and cruelly forced to work without additional pay and vacation, even when they were sick.
