Abstract

The aims of this research were (1) to study the interest and the marketing mix of studying in the master degree of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen university (2) to propose strategies to increase the number of master student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering by more than 10% of the number of enrolled student in 2016 academic year. It was found that 52% of the population was interested to study at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Major factors for the decision making were course syllabus and learning process. Therefore, five strategies were proposed in order to increase the number of master student in this department, which including of, 1) advertise the master degree program to the alumni, 2) conduct the graduate student voluntary camp “EN-ME Grad” 3) propose the “4+1 student program” in Department of Mechanical Engineering 4) collaborative research abroad, and 5) promote the special master degree program with total expenditure of 651,600 bath. According to such strategies, it was expected that the number of enrolled student in the master degree of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of 2017 academic year would be increased by more than 10% of that of the 2016 academic year.
