Abstract

Everyday life of the elderly migrants has been constructed in order to survive at new places that they migrated to. This paper investigates practices of the elderly migrants. Narrative methodological approach was applied to the study to reveal practices of the elderly migrants through their statements. Research results found that the elderly migrants realized on limitations themselves. Therefore, they tried to use their capitals, embedded in themselves, to facilitate them and their households in daily life. Moreover, this was an attempt to prove themselves that they had own tactics to negotiate with difficulties in life. Their everyday life practices also explored that the elderly migrants were the active agencies who were able to create their own lifestyle and activities in daily life.
