Abstract

Within this thesis, the researcher investigates 1) the levels of resilience quotient of adolescents who differ in personal factors: the demographical characteristics of gender, age, education, relationship status of parents, number of siblings, and order of birth. The researcher also studies 2) the levels of resilience of adolescents who differ in Buddhist Psychological factors: Self-esteem, Yonisomanasikãra (Wise Attention), Kallayãṇamed (Good Friends) and Optimism. Additionally, the researcher studies 3) the relationship between Buddhist psychological factors and the resilience quotient of these adolescents. Finally, the researcher frames. The findings are as follows (1) According to the Statistical hypothesis testing, those adolescents who differed in demographical characteristic of sex, exhibited concomitant differences in resilience quotient at the statistically significant level of .001 (2)Those adolescents who differed in Buddhist psychological factors displayed corresponding differences in resilience quotient in overall picture. (3) The researcher determined that Buddhist psychological factors Self-esteem, Kallayãṇamed (Good Friends), Yonisomanasikãra (Wise Attention), and Optimism. (4) The four factors of Buddhist psychological factors were predictive of levels of resilience displayed by the adolescents significant level of .001.
