Abstract

The purposes of this research were to compare the student’s mathematical concepts on Real numbers and mathematical reasoning ability of Mathayomsuksa II after using Concept Attainment model and higher - order questions as compared with a criterion of 70 percent. The samples for this research consisted of 48 Mathayomsuksa II students at Bansuan Jananusorn School, selected by using cluster random sampling. The instruments used in study were, 10 lesson plans, mathematical concepts test with reliability of 0.84 and mathematical reasoning ability test with reliability of 0.90. The data were analyzed by mean, percentage, standard deviation and t-test for one sample. The findings were as follows:


  1. 1. The mathematical concepts on Real numbers of Mathayomsuksa II students after learning with the concept attainment model and higher - order questions was statistically higher than the 70 percent criterion at the .05 level of significance.

  2. 2. The mathematical reasoning ability of Mathayomsuksa II students after learning with the concept attainment model and higher - order questions was statistically higher than the 70 percent criterion at the .05 level of significance.
