Abstract

The objectives of the research were to 1) develop the learning model for enhancing thinking skill on science and the ability of creative solution for the 2nd grade kindergarten students and 2) study the results of using the learning model for enhancing thinking skill on science and the ability of creative solution for the 2nd grade kindergarten students. The research procedure was divided into 3 phases; Phase 1- The study of conditions and problems of the learning instruction, the application of learning model, the thinking on science, an ability to solve problems, an ability of thinking on science and an ability of solving problems creatively of the 2nd grade kindergarten students, Phase 2- The development of learning model for enhancing an ability of thinking on science and the ability of solving problems creatively of the 2nd grade kindergarten students and Phase 3- The study of the application of learning model according to the theory of organizing the learning model, the thinking on science, an ability to solve problems for enhancing an ability in thinking on science and the ability to solve problems creatively of the 2nd grade kindergarten students. The statistic methods implemented in this research comprised mean, percentage, standard deviation (S.D.) and the t-test (Independent Sample t-test). The research found that 1) the results of the development of learning model for enhancing thinking skill on science and the ability of creative solution for the 2nd grade kindergarten students, the learning model contains 6 steps of organizing the learning activities as follow; 1) Sparkling Step 2) Searching Step 3) Sharing Constructing and Creating Step 4) Systemizing Knowledge Step 5) Summarizing and Present Step 6) Application Step. 2) The results of the study on an application of the learning model for enhancing an ability of thinking on science and ability of solving problems creatively are the following; The comparison of the 2nd grade kindergarten students’ ability of thinking on science between the pre and post learning reveals that the mean score after using the learning model is higher than before learning that shows the difference at the .01 of significance. And the comparison of the 2nd grade kindergarten students’ ability of solving problems creatively between the pre and post learning reveals that the mean score after using the learning model is higher than before learning that shows the difference at the .01 of significance.
