This research aimed to design and make a compressive mold in order to prepare the futsal slabs made from compounded rubber. To achieve a dimension of the finished product at 500×500×15 mm, mold making was initially designed by CATIA software before processed by computer numerical control (CNC) milling machine. Standard Thai Rubber (STR 5L), a type of commercial natural rubber, was chosen as a rubber model and the conventional vulcanization by sulphur system was carried out. Formulation of the compounded rubber was studied with varying the amount of reinforcing fillers such as carbon black and silica. The results showed that 60 parts per hundred rubber (phr) of carbon black and 30 phr of silica was a practical rubber formulae to reach many important properties such as the density of 1.27 g/cm3, Mooney viscosity (ML 1+4) of 91.01, cure time (t90) of 7 min 38 sec at 150ºC and Shore A hardness of 68. In addition, tensile at break of the NR vulcanizate as a futsal slab was found to be 21.62 MPa. It might be clear that the tensile at break of our futsal slab is higher than that of the type C rubber slab according to TIS 2683 - 2558, which was remarked by not less than 0.2 MPa.
