Animated Cartoons for Learning Improvement on the Topic of Famous People in History of Thailand” for 3rd Grade students: A Case Study of Thao Mahachai

Abstract

The major aims of the research were 1 ) to develop animated cartoon for learning improvement on the topic of “Famous People in History of Thailand” for 3rd grade students: a case study of Thao Mahachai, 2) to conduct a survey on the satisfaction of the students with the animated cartoon on the topic of “Famous People in History of Thailand”: a case study of Thao Mahachai. The target population consisted of three groups: 1) fourteen 3rd grade students in 2015 from schools of EDLTV network of Rajabhat maha Sarakham University, 2) three experts in animated cartoon, and 3) thirty teachers of 3rd grade in Maha Sarakham province. The research instrument was animated cartoon of Thao Maha Chai, an assessment form and two sets of a questionnaire. The study showed that the three dimensional animated cartoons of Thao Mahachai took 5.40 minutes. The content was comprised of biography of Thao Mahachai. The average appropriateness of the animated cartoons assessed by the experts was at a high level. The overall satisfaction of the students with the animated cartoons of Thao Mahachai was at a high level. And the overall acceptance of the teachers was at the highest level.
