Designing and Building Hot Exhausted Gas Suction Fabrication with Rectangular Cone-hood Shape for Electrical Welding Chambers

Abstract

     This study was conducted to design and build a hot exhausted gas suction fabrication with a rectangular cone-hood shape for 8 electrical welding chambers. The purposes of this research were to; 1) design and build a hot-exhausted gas suction fabrication for electrical welding work, 2) analyze the hot exhausted gas emitted from the electrical welding practice, and 3) analyze factors affecting efficiency of the designed hot exhausted gas suction fabrication. The experiment resulted in a find design of the rectangular-base cone of 45 degree hood, 144 cm2 for each welding chamber, and an installed inverter control system. The hot exhausted gas suction fabrication could control the polluted carbon monoxide (CO) produced inside and outside the welding chamber at 199.93 and 194.67 ppm., and the exhausted gas suction efficiency wat at 97.42%. The compound of the polluted carbon monoxide was released to the surrounding environment only 9.00 ppm., which was complied with the standard of the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health.
