The Factor of Transcendental Leadership of School Administrators School Affecting Effectiveness in Municipality School, Loei Provinces

Abstract

The objectives of the research were 1) to study the level of transcendental leadership of school administrators in municipality schools, Loei province; 2) to study the level of school’s effectiveness in municipality schools, Loei province; 3) to study the relationship between transcendental leadership of school administrators and school’s effectiveness of municipality schools and 4) to study the factors of transcendental leadership of school administrators affect to school’s effectiveness. The research participants were 273 government officers from municipality schools in Loei province, academic year 2017. The participants consisted of 17 school directors and 256 teachers. The research instrument used to collect the data was the rating scale questionnaires.


The research results revealed that:


  1. The level of transcendental leadership of school administrators of municipality schools in Loei was found at a high level in term of spiritual leadership, ethics, vision, leadership competency and servant leadership respectively.

  2. The effectiveness of municipality schools in Loei was found to be overall at a high level of student’s attribution, learning organization, learning achievement and teacher’s satisfaction respectively.

  3. The relationship between transcendental leadership of school administrators and school’s effectiveness was found to be positive at a statistical significance level at .01.

  4. The factor of transcendental leadership of school administrators can be summarized that leadership competency component affected to school’s effectiveness, statistical significance level at .01 (R = .426)
