Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) study the work morale level of working police officers at the Sub-division 1 Special Training Division, Phetchaburi Province, 2) study the level of factors affecting the work morale of police officers at the Sub-division 1 Special Training Division, Phetchaburi Province, 3) compare levels of the work morale  of police officers at the Sub-division 1 Special Training Division, Phetchaburi Province, by personal factors and 4) study the causal relationship between the work morale and the factors affecting the work morale of police officers at the Sub-division 1 Special Training Division, Phetchaburi Province. The population was 131 police officers at the Sub-division 1 Special Training Division, Phetchaburi Province. The research instruments were questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation for descriptive statistics, and one-way analysis of variance and linear Multiple Regression Analysis were used to test the hypotheses. The research results were as follows: 1. The work morale of the police officers in every aspect was high. 2. The factors affecting the morale on performance was high in every aspect as well. 3. Personal factors affected the work morale of Police Officers at the Sub-division 1 Special Training Division, Phetchaburi Province. Experience, education, and salary were related to the work morale of police officers at the Sub-division 1 Special Training Division, Phetchaburi Province.     4. The factors affecting the work morale of police officers at the Sub-division 1 Special Training Division, Phetchaburi Province were the sufficiency and appropriateness of income and benefits, working environment, opportunities in progression and leadership of supervisors.
