Managerial Factors Affecting the Work Performances of the Non-Royal Patronage Monasteries in the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Area

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) Examine the performance levels of non-royal patronage monasteries in Bangkok; 2) Compare the monasteries’ performances; 3) Investigate the factors that affect the monasteries’ performances, and 4) Identify the problems, obstacles, and approach of the monasteries’ performances. The quantitative methodology had 382 sample respondents who were monks, while the qualitative methodology had 14 informants. Statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, one-way ANOVA and multiple linear regression. The results showed that there were five factors which had a statistically significant effect on the performance of Bangkok’s private monasteries at the 0.05 significance level: coordinating factor; decision factor; organization structure factor; motivation factor, and reporting factor.
