Abstract

The Enhancement of Capacity in Participatory Administration of Community Enterprise Wawee, Mae Suai District, Chiang Rai Province has the following objectives:


  • To study the management of the forest care organic coffee community enterprise, Ban Pha Daeng Luang district, Chiang Rai

  • To give advice to solve the problems of the forest care organic coffee community enterprise , Ban Pha Daeng Luang district, Chiang Rai

  • To study the development of participatory management of the forest care organic coffee community enterprise, Ban Pha Daeng Luang district, Chiang Rai province.

          By Qualitative Research methodology, the study is divided into two parts that is : research papers and field research.  The data  is  collected by means of interviews and focus groups.


         The study found out that the management of the forest care organic coffee community, Ban Pha Daeng Luang has a clear management structure.


          The main reason in joining the group is to provide benefits to all members. Under the supervision of the Earth Net Foundation and the geographical factor facilitates the production of organic coffee and forest care which are the main advantages of this group. 


          The management  has engaged in the exchange of the experience and transferring knowledge between members.  The major management problem of the forest care organic coffee community Ban Pa Daeng Luang is the limitation on budget so they are unable to get the applicable technology to improve the production process.


          Furthermore, there is not enough market for the products  due to transportation difficulties, the lack of coffee disease knowledge, the potential development and   training, the preparation of demonstration coffee plant and the product branding.


          The lack of  technology to help in the production process, in promoting and supporting the livelihoods of coffee farming to develop a successor group to continue  growing organic coffee under the forest care  and  parallel development through  community enterprise and  its original form.
