The purpose of this research was to 1) to study the policy and effectiveness of elderly people's health promotion in the community 2) To search for activities that are integrated in Buddhist principles of elderly people's health promotion in the community 3) To enhance the network for promoting the health of the elderly in community organizations. This research was Mixed Methods Research.
The results showed that :-
1) The policy and effectiveness of enhancing elderly health of the community organizations of the village health volunteers group, women volunteers’ group and Rai Khing municipality such as: 1) The elderly must to get basic factors protection and access to government services. 2) The elderly need to be promoted to live with family and have caregiver. 3) The elderly have the opportunity to learn and develop their potential for long life. 4) Support the elderly to rely on themselves by making their own income and network system to foster them also. etc. The policy was not implement at all was the state is involved with private sector organizations, people, public institution to determine policy, management plan for implementation development and integrated elderly care in national level including coordinating with related agencies to continue implementation to achieve goals.
2) Integrative activities based on Buddhist principles 1) the process of enhancing the health of the elderly community organization. Using TISIKKHA the Buddhist principles, the Sila has promoted the elderly to be responsible for their duties. And a regular practice Dhamma, development of physical and verbal. Meditation has encouraged the elderly to meditate. Look after health and mind mental and training to be meditation strongly, released in order to have peace of mind. Wisdom to practice self-restraint, do not be careless, consciousness, self-knowledge and understand. More reason bring wisdom to control behavior.
3) Support the network for enhancing the health of the elderly in community organizations. 1) Community organization is a learning center. There are plans to improve the quality of life for the elderly, to exchange of experience and knowledge, transfer to the community members. 2) The cooperation network for enhancing the health of the elderly in community organizations is divided into 2 types. 3) Network linkages to enhance the health of the elderly in community organizations.
