Buddhist Psychological Factors Related to Resilience of Adolescents in Bangkok

บทคัดย่อ

      This article aims to study the Buddhist Psychological factors Related to Resilience of Adolescents in Bangkok. The sample population consists of 450 adolescents within Bangkok by Purposive Sampling. The findings are as follows:

          1) those adolescents who differed in demographical characteristic of sex, exhibited concomitant differences in resilience with female adolescents evincing higher levels of resilience than their male counterparts. The finding also reveals that those adolescents who differed in the demographical characteristic of age, education, relationship status of parents, number of siblings, and order of birth did not display corresponding differences in resilience in an overall picture.

             2) Those adolescents who differed in Buddhist psychological factors displayed corresponding differences in resilience in overall picture. The adolescents who evince higher levels of Buddhist psychological factors exhibited concomitant differences in resilience from those adolescents who evince lower levels of those factors.

             3) The researcher determined that Buddhist psychological factors were positively correlated with levels of resilience.

             Results from this study could be applied to promote resilience in adolescents.
