Abstract

This objective research were to; 1) develop ability towards the instructional design focusing mainly on Research Based Learning for teachers working in Nakhon Ratchasima basic education schools 2) to study students’ learning results in Nakhon Ratchasima basic education schools by  Research Based learning and       3) to study teachers’ satisfactory towards this research. In terms of research methodologies. There were categorized into 5 steps including Stage 1 the development of teachers’ ability towards the instructional design, Stage 2 teachers’ instructional design, Stage 3 teachers’ learning and learning management, Stage 4 the following up and supervision for teachers’ learning and learning management, Stage 5 feedback and lesson learned from the learning and teaching.  The target group assigned in the study consisted of 15 teachers working in Nakhon Ratchasima basic education schools. Teachers were from 2 schools, 5 from Tetsaban 4 School (Por Chum) and 10 from Bunloer Wittayanusorn School by using purposive sampling method upon their consent.

Tools employed in the study were listed as follows; instructional manual towards learning management to upgrade teachers’ quality in 21st century, teachers’ learning log, lesson plan evaluation form, learning achievement test, problem solving skills checklist, students’ satisfactory evaluation form, teachers’ learning and teaching ability evaluation form and reflection form towards teachers’ lesson learned.  Descriptive statistical analysis was employed in the study as follows; percentage, average, standard deviation and content analysis.

                The results show that ;

  1. The Results obtained from teachers’ ability towards instructional design showed that the lesson plan’s concordance/ connection/ appropriateness by using Research Based Learning in general was reported at high level
  2. The teachers’ ability towards Research Based Learning management in general was reported at the highest level When considering in each item, In terms of activities, the item related to the correctness of content was reported at the highest and in the issue about learning condition, the readiness of classrooms for problem solving skills development was reported at the highest . About each teachers, all of them performed their best towards teaching ability at high level.
  3. In terms of students’ learning achievement in Nakhon Ratchasima basic education schools, it was clear that all students attended in the Research Based Learning had obtained better learning achievement from the posttest with the improvement score ranging from 20.30% to 50.00%. Students’ problem solving skills had been reported to be better after attending the Research Based Learning with the improvement score ranging from 63.00% to 92.70% and students’ satisfactory towards all teachers’ Research Based Learning was reported at high level.

       4.The teachers’ satisfactory towards the particular research project was reported at high level 
          especially the item related to ‘the benefits are for teachers and students  followed by the counseling
          session towards teaching innovation.
