Author Guidelines

1. Preparing the article

The article to be considered for publication in the Journal should not be longer than 15 pages (A4) with standard page layout. The original copy must consist of three sections. The first section (first page) contains the name of the article, first and last name of the author, his/her affiliation, the abstract, keywords, and a footnote in the Thai language. The second section (second page) contains the same information as in section 1, but in English. The third section (from the third page onwards) is the main part of the article written in the standard order for article composition. The author should number the paragraphs from the preface to the conclusion using Arabic numerals in sequence. If there is a reference list or appendix, it should be attached at the end of the conclusion without being numbered. The reference list must comply with APA (American Psychological Association) format.

 

2. Presentation format

The article must be written using single-space format, and Th Sarabun PSK or Th Sarabun New must be used as the font type for both the Thai and English languages. The sizes of the fonts are as follows:

1. Name of the article:  18 point size (Thai or English), 12 point size (Japanese). 

2. First and last name of author: 14 point in bold

3. Abstract: normal font, 14 point (maximum 10 lines).

4. Keywords: normal font, 14 point (maximum 5 words).

5. Headings: first level (i.e. 1.xxx, 5.xxx. reference list, and appendix), 18 point in bold, second level and so on (i.e. 1.1, 2.1.3), 14 point in bold.

6. Main content: normal font, 14 point.

7. Footnotes in the first and second pages: normal font, 10 point (there are 2 possible types of footnotes): a. *Information that the author wishes to add about the article such as acknowledgements. b. **Specifying academic titles or other titles of the author, an address, and an e-mail by following this format: Associate Professor (Dr.)….., Contact Address: ….., e-mail: …..

8. Footnotes in the main content: written in each page in normal 10 point font in Arabic number sequence.

9. Table: bold or normal font, not larger than 14 point (as suitable).

10. Reference list: normal font, 14 point.

11. Affiliation and corresponding e-mail: 14 point in italics

11. Appendix: normal font, 14 point.

12. Others: If Japanese characters are required, the author must select MS Mincho font. The size of the Japanese characters used generally in the main content is 10 point (same size as 14-point Th Sarabun PSK or Th Sarabun New characters). If Japanese characters appear in other parts of the article, their size should be adjusted to the most suitable size by following the aforementioned criteria.

 

3. Tables and figures

The author must place tables and figures in Arabic numerical sequence (i.e. Table 1, Figure 2) and specify the name of the table and figure after the number. The table title must be typed in the top row of the table. The title for the figure is placed directly below the figure. The font size in the table and figure should follow the aforementioned criteria and according to the suitability, appearance, and style of the content. The complete source of a table and figure must be included. If it is the work of the author, the source must be entered as “Calculated/written/ summarized by the author.”

 

4. Citation in text and References list

Use APA system in the reference list. The citations in text and references list should give readers enough information to locate each source. To refer to the content, the first and last name of the author must be detailed, followed by the year of publication and the relevant page number in parentheses. For instance, in the case of a book, article in a journal, or a research paper: (ธำรงศักดิ์ อายุวัฒนะ, 2547, น. 20) or (Feuchtwanger, 2002, p. 99). In the case of a reference book: (พจนานุกรมราชบัณฑิตยสถาน พ.ศ. 2542, 2546, น. 37) or (Merriam-Webster’s collegiate dictionary, 1993, p. 125). And in the case of an e-document (ชวนะ ภวกานันท์, 2548) or (Lesley University, 2005).

When compiling a reference list, please pay particular attention to the following: 1) sequence; 2) punctuation and spacing; 3) capitalization; and 4) underlining. 6. Submission of a manuscript

     A manuscript can be submitted online via our journal management system, Thai Journals Online (ThaiJO), at https://so04.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jsn 

 

7. Processing fees

     The author shall make a transfer payment of 3,000 baht into Siam Commercial Bank savings account, Chamchuri Square branch, account number 413-168037-9, in compensation for a peer-review procedure conducted by a panel of three experts.

Note: In the event that a final judgment is made to not recommend the submitted manuscript for publication on quality assessment grounds, the editorial board reserves the right “to withhold the processing fees” in this regard.

 

8. Sending proof of payment

     The author shall send a copy of payment of the processing fees to [email protected] within 14 days following the submission.

 

9. Sending proof of publication

     The editors shall send two copies of the Journal’s issue on which the manuscript is accepted for publication to the corresponding author, or the first author in the case of multiple authors.
