Publication Ethics

Journal of Social Sciences is committed to maintaining the ethical standards in academic publication. Therefore, all parties involved must strictly follow the principles and standards of ethics in publication.

 Responsibilities of Editor

1. The editor is responsible for considering and examining every submitted manuscripts, by considering the content of manuscripts that are in consistent with the aim and scope of the journal

2. The editor is responsible for keeping the information of authors and reviewers confidentially throughout the consideration period.

 3. The editor must consider manuscripts with academic’s principles without bias, transparently and must not have any conflict-of-interest with authors and/or authors’ affiliation.

 4. The editor is responsible for informing the consideration (accept or reject) to authors within 30 days and/or officially inform the result of consideration to the authors within 90 days since the Journal of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University received manuscript from the authors. 

   

Responsibilities of Reviewers

1. The reviewer is responsible for considering submitted manuscripts with academic standard and aim and scope of the journal.

2. The reviewer does not know any information of the authors and not reveal the result of consideration to other non-related persons.

3. The reviewer must review and consider the manuscripts with academic principles, without any bias, transparently and no any conflict-of-interest with authors or authors’ affiliation.

    

Responsibilities of Authors

1. The authors must declare that the submitted manuscript is purely their own work or research or co-authors as mentioned in the manuscript.  The manuscript does not contain data fabrication or plagiarism.

2. The authors must certify that the manuscripts have never been publicized in any journal or book before submission.

3. The authors must certify that the manuscripts are not submitted to others  journals or any other publications at the same time or within 90 days since the Journal of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University received the manuscripts.

4. The authors will not be able to withdraw the manuscripts from the journal in either case or at any time if the manuscripts are in the process of consideration by the reviewers.  The authors may withdraw the manuscripts from the journal only if the authors inform to the editor before process of consideration by reviewers or at least 30 days after manuscript submission.  The authors, hence, must agree to compensate any cost that happened with the journal during the process of cooperation and consideration.

 5. The authors are responsible for manuscript correction.  The papers are the authors’ opinions only,  not concerned with the opinions of editors or editorial board of the journal and also the Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University.
