Abstract

ABSTRACT


The objectives of research paper were (1) to study general state of effectiveness towards educational development of Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section in the administration area of the Sangha region 15, (2) to study the achievement  factors to effectiveness towards educational development of Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section in the administration area of the Sangha region 15, and (3) to propose the development model of educational development of Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section in the administration area of the Sangha region 15.


 The research methodology was the mixed-methods research by using the qualitative research that researcher had in-depth interview from 18 key informants  and focus group with 11 persons by analyzing the descriptive content and the quantitative research distributed the questionnaires of 293 sampling group such as Sangha administrators , school owners and Pali teachers by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation : S.D.) and tested the Pearson’s correlations coefficient.


 


The findings of this research were as following:


  1. The general place aspect in the administration area of the Sangha region 15 had the much readiness for the building construction due to the faith and support from Provincial and District Sangha administrators, Sangha Administrators, and the faithful people helped to donate, especially Phrapromweti, Regional Sangha Governor ,Region 15 who has the long vision that supports the educational development of Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section in the administration area of the Sangha region 15 by set up the Sahapali school in every province in the administration area of region 15 that uses the name as “Sahapali School”. 2. The lecturers aspect ; Regional Sangha Governor of Region 15 presented the policy to each Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section to have enough Pali teachers to students that it makes the education management such as learning and teaching in Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section effectively. 3. The curriculum aspect; teaching and Learning curriculum of in Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section used the old curriculum for very long time around the country , old language and complicated understanding , the content focused on remember and translation more than understanding , but it is good because old curriculum focused on remember that would like to keep the original scripture. However, for  Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section in the administration area of the Sangha region 15 sets up the special curriculum such as mobile Pali grammar book etc. 4. The Student aspect;  Regional Sangha Governor set up the policy for novices and monks ordination in Buddhism continuously or before Buddhist Lent day that has the resource to come to study in Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section , for the purpose of personnel production of Buddhism. 5. The technology aspect in the administration area of the Sangha region 15 had the readiness for media aspect but lacked of personnel to manage it.

  2. The findings of analysis the effectiveness towards educational development of Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section in the administration area of the Sangha region 15, found that the relation between Pearson’s correlations and found that correlations coefficient (r)  had the value at 0.895 that showed that the  factor had affect  was the POSDC principle and the effectiveness towards educational development of Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section in the administration area of the Sangha region 15 had relationship  at high level and correlations coefficient (r) found that had the value at 0.900 that showed that the factor had impact, was the dhamma principle named as Ittibahtdhamma IV and effectiveness towards educational development of Phrapariyattidhamma school Pali section in the administration area of the Sangha region 15 had the relationship and correlations at high levels.

  3. To propose the development guidelines into five aspects : 1) should let each district in region 15 set up the own learning and teaching institutes and Provincial and District Sangha administrators, Sangha Administrators in each district to support the properly budget. 2) The thing should be improved , should have the meeting for teaching plan setting that in each class must have the examination and evaluation in every week. 3) To building the motivation and attraction to Pali students and set up the library for Tipitaka reaching and has the computer in the library for additional research.  4) The thing should be improved if it is possible, is the Educational Ministry should guarantee the certificate who finished from Phraprariyattidhamma school Pali section.   5) Should have the distant and online teaching system for more interesting to monks, novices , lay people and female lay people to study from distant education system.
