POTENTIAL ENHANCEMENT IN DHAMMA TEACHING AND DHAMMA TRAINING OF TEACHER-MONKS IN SCHOOLS UNDER MAHAMAKUT BUDDHIST UNIVERSITY (SALAYA)

Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows; 1) To study the component for Dhamma teaching and performing chief of school moral teaching monk. 2) To study the factors which are affected to Dhamma teaching component and performing chief of school moral teaching monk. 3) To present the guideline to promote Dhamma teaching component and performing chief of school moral teaching monk. This is the mixed method research by quantitative research with questionnaires for field study from school moral teaching monk under central Mahamakut Buddhist university for 257 persons. Data analysis by computer program for social science to find out frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and to test the hypothesis by Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and qualitative research by In-depth Interview with ten informants by surrounding content analysis.

            The findings were as follows;

            1) The component for Dhamma teaching and performing chief of school moral teaching monk by overview was at moderate level. When considered in each aspect found that the aspect of performing chief was the more level and followed up the aspect of information technology, the aspect of curriculum, the aspect of learning and teaching and the aspect of assessment was the moderate level respectively.

            2) The factors which are affected to Dhamma teaching component and performing chief of school moral teaching monk by overview was at more level when classified in each aspect found that all are at more level from more to less as follows; the aspect of specialization and satisfaction was the highest mean and followed up the aspect of regarding of commander and job satisfaction and the aspect of compensation and welfare was the lowest mean and also at more level respectively.

            3) The result of hypothesis test by Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient for Dhamma teaching component and performing chief of school moral teaching monk found that status factors and admiration are related with Dhamma teaching component and performing chief  in the first low level (r=0.35) and followed up the aspect of  regarding of commander is also related  low level  (r=0.29) and factor in the aspect of specialization and job satisfaction was related  in very low level (r=0.19) same as factor in the aspect of compensation and welfare (r=0.16).

            4) The guideline to promote Dhamma teaching component and performing chief found that they should be selected for proper content for each classesม to integrate fixed curriculum without focused on content but on performance, To train  for addition more component and efficiency in learning and teaching management, to cooperate for modern media production for applying in teaching and learning, to make understanding on producing and using the instrument for evaluation that accordance with learning objectives, to make strategic and policy plan for making confident and faith for teacher and students throughout management of activity for development of competency of moral teaching monk for model in Dhamma performance.
