Abstract

Objectives of this research were: 1. to study general context and problems of monastery religious property management in Samutprakarn Province, 2. to study factors affecting the monastery religious property management in Samutprakarn Province and 3. to propose the monastery religious property management model in Samutprakarn Province.  Methodology was the mixed methods: The quantitative research collected data by questionnaires with reliability value at 0.945 from 360 samples, analyzed data with frequencies, percentiles, mean and standard deviation S.D. The qualitative research collected data from: 20 key informants who were administrative monks and experts, and from 12 participants in focus group discussion, analyzed data by descriptive interpretation. 

 

            Findings were as follows:

  1. 1. General condition and problems of monastery religious property management in Samutprakarn Province were: Planning of monastery religious property management; some administrative monks did not understand the laws of religious property management and the property laws, Organizing; organizations had to collect all data of factors relating to integrated structure between concepts and theories and Buddhadhamma relating to monastery religious property management, Directing and Commanding; recruitment and selection of knowledgeable, capable persons who loved take care of religious properties were appropriate, Coordinating; administrative monks must have sufficient data and new communication technology in coordination, Controlling; administrative monks must use friendly methods to control good friends and personnel. 
  2. 2. Monastery religious property management process in Samutprakarn Province was the integration of Buddhadhamma for religious property management in line with the management process, consisting of: Planning; planning and management of religious property were satisfied, Organizing; efforts to seek the qualified persons who love and understand how to look after the monastery religious property, Commanding; concentration giving out order according to the plans, Coordinating; regular monitoring the work process in line with good friends principles and using intellectuals to control and to make decision in line with the causes and effects according to Itthipadha; aspiration, efforts, attention and approximation.
  3.          3. Monastery religious property management model in Samutprakarn Province: Planning to restore the religious properties and places in secure and strong condition, remain the real identity and Thinness, Organizing; flexible management in order to create trust and faith in the communities so that the communities in return would participate in restore, look after the religious properties in monasteries. Coordinating; looking after Dhamma practice activities integrated with religious place restoration and protection and history recitation. Controlling; giving advices about religious places protection and solving problems in time when problems arise.
