Abstract

Thai comprehensive stroke center certification program was developed by Thai Stroke Society, Royal College of neurosurgeon of Thailand, Royal College of radiologist of Thailand and The Association of Thai Interventional Neuroradiology in corporate with Healthcare Accreditation Institute (Public Organisation) to provide standard quality of care for acute stroke patients in Thailand. Comprehensive stroke center consists of main components of comprehensive stroke center such as the personnel, infrastructure and expertise to diagnose and treat stroke patients who require high intensive medical and surgical care, specialized tests or interventional therapies, patients with large ischemic stroke or hemorrhagic strokes, those with strokes from unusual etiologies or requiring specialized testing or therapies , and those requiring multispecialty to improved mortality and morbidity of stroke.
