บทความนี้ประสงค์ที่จะเสนอภาพรวมของงานวิจัยเกี่ยวกับการเรียนรู้ภาษาที่สอง เริ่มจากแนวคิดหลัก 3 แนวคิด ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับงานวิจัย ได้แก่ แนวคิดพฤติกรรมนิยม ไวยากรณ์สากลและภาษาศาสตร์ปริชาน จากนั้นพูดถึงเรื่อง อายุและภาษาที่หนึ่ง ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยเกี่ยวข้องกับการเรียนรู้ภาษาที่สอง พร้อมทั้งสรุปลักษณะงานวิจัยการเรียนรู้ภาษาที่สอง

This article presents an overview of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) research. It presents the main theories such as behaviorism, universal grammar and cognitive linguistics that are involved in SLA research, and then considers the influence of factors such as age and first language. Also, contents of SLA research are included.
