Peer Review Process
■ The articles should focus on humanities and social sciences in the Mekong region.
■ The article must not have been previously published.
■ All papers are peer-reviewed by at least two experts in the field relevant to the subject of submitted papers.
Three issues per year:
No. 1 January-April
No. 2 May-August
No. 3 September-December
Open Access PolicyThis journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Journal of Mekong SocietiesJournal of Mekong Societies is an academic journal in the field of humanities and social sciences. Its objective is to distribute new knowledge about the Mekong sub-region. The contents of the article are about the Mekong Region as the following issues:

Journal HistoryThe Journal of Mekong Societies has been published by the Center for Research on Plurality in the Mekong Region (CERP), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, since 2004. The Journal is indexed by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Center (TCI), ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) and Google Scholar. It was ranked among Thailand's top five journals in the humanities and social sciences by The Thailand Research Fund in 2011, and among the first tier of journals in the humanties and social sciences by TCI from 2012 to 2024.
