Effect of old Thai music dance exercise program on blood pressure among the hypertensive elderly

The purposes of quasi-experimental research design were 1) to compare blood pressure of the experimental group before and after participation in program 2) to compare blood pressure week 12 of experimental group and control 2 groups. The subjects 90 people, each group had 30 people, 1) experimental group was participation in program 2) control group 1 was to do other exercises by themselves 3) control group 2 was no exercise. The instruments consisted of old Thai music dance exercise program, , exercise handbook for hypertensive elderly, blood pressure device and data collection form. The results revealed that 1) mean systolic blood pressure in experimental groups were statistically significant lower than before (p<05). 2) mean systolic blood pressure after participation in program at 12 weeks was significant differences between experimental group and control group 2 (p<05).
