The Experiences of Family Nurses in Utilization of Knowledge in Practice: A Qualitative Study

The article was report the fi ndings of the experiences of Family Nurses who graduated the master degree programmes in Family Nursing in utilization knowledge of practice. A pragmatic qualitative research design was adopted in order to access relevant alumni group. A group of alumni from family nursing programmes who were attending the annual family nursing conference was invited to take part in focus group interviews. Six focus groups involving a total of 71 alumni were held simultaneously. Within these groups trained facilitators with experience in nursing research- from out with family nursing education- elicited responses to the research questions. Within all six groups designated scribes took verbatim notes which were later subject to qualitative content and thematic analyses.
