This research aimed to establish a social life skill development curriculum to prevent violent risk behaviors in students. Secondary school students were the subjects in the study. The samples were selected from 2 schools in Khon Kaen (one is in municipality zone; another is out of municipality zone). The simple random method was used to obtain representatives from 1-6 grades of each school. Focus group discussions were conducted with the teachers, parents, and the students. The curriculum, after being established, was adjusted and implemented in classes by volunteer teachers. The curriculum contained 7 activities build from real situations to encourage students to become aware of the problems, solve problems and adjusted them accordingly. Teachers and parents participated by communicating with the students via instructions. The teachers organized the activities and recorded the opinions and suggestions given. The evaluationwas performed by students, teachers and parents, using the evaluation form.
The results of study – The social life-skill development for prevent risk behaviors curriculum was founded that simple to use and it enabled teachers to see students’ improved behaviors. The measurement showed that most of students had higher score on social skills after attending the curriculum. It can be said that the curriculum was successful in equipping students with all violence prevention skills.
