This cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to evaluate perception of body image appearance of patients with head and neck cancer. The sample consisted of 43 head and neck cancer before surgery from the outpatient department surgery and 43 admitted in SrinagarindHospital,KhonKaenUniversity. Body image were explored using Body Image Scale (BIS) approved by KKU Ethics Committee. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis. This study concluded that perceived body image appearance patients with head and neck cancer were at a high level. Therefore, body image should be a crucial issue and determine to devolop an appropriate nursing intervention in order to the head and neck cancer patient’s capability psychological adjustment as an inevitable consequence of change.
