This study was descriptive predictive research. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships and the prediction health care behavior in pregnant adolescents. The sample of 100 pregnant adolescents were between 13-19 years old. They came to the antenatal clinics in Rajavithi Hospital and Somdejprapinklao Hospital. The research tool was a questionnaire including personal data, developmental assets, attitudes toward pregnancy, and the health care behavior in pregnant adolescents. The reliability of a questionnaire was .969. The data were analyzed for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The results indicated that attitudes toward pregnancy and developmental assets were a statistically significant at the positive moderate relationships with the health care behavior in pregnant adolescents at p<.01 (r = .473, and .703, respectively). Both developmental assets and attitudes toward pregnancy could predict the health care behavior in pregnant adolescents for 51.2 percents at p<.001.
