These factors were barriers to early mobilization, which in turn, become risk of many complications, (such as flatulence, constipation, lung atelectasis, pneumonia, and deep vein thrombosis), leading to delayed post- operative recovery. This nursing innovation is developed to promote early mobilization for post-operative CCA patients with critically ill. The innovation consisted of three parts: 1) a tool to assess readiness and monitor patients during movement training, 2) promotion of mobility, and 3) outcome evaluation. After using the innovation in 10 CCA patients. The results indicated that post-operative CCA patients with critically ill, who received this innovation, had early mobilization, was safe while having body movement, and had no complication.</p> สุพัฒตรา - ศรีภักดี บุษบา - สมใจวงษ์ ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2019-03-06 2019-03-06 41 4 13 22 Noise induce hearing loss among burmese workers of rubber wood processing plant at Nakhon sri thammarat province https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/nah/article/view/133169 <p>Rubber wood processing plant has a noisy process that affects hearing loss. Fifty seven patients were assigned to an experimental group and received care using CAUTI-CNPG while the other 57 were in a comparison group which received routine urinary care.&nbsp; Data collection took place before urinary care for each group and again 4 days after receiving the care.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Results indicated that CAUTI occurred 65.9 times/1000 catheter-day in the comparison group but only 29.2 times/1000 catheter-day in the experimental group.&nbsp;&nbsp; When compared to the comparison group, the experimental group was 0.41 times less likely to develop CAUTI (RR= 0.41; 95% CI 0.19-0.92).&nbsp; Nurses who used the CAUTI-CNPG reported a high to highest level of satisfaction with the CNPG and expressed a 100% adherence to the CNPG protocol</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Tiwakorn Klompanya ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2019-03-06 2019-03-06 41 4 34 43 Predicting factors of Spiritual Care Received Among Patients with End Stage Renal Disease Receiving Hemodialysis https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/nah/article/view/145812 <p>This study is correlational predictive study. To study the level of spiritual care receives and predictive power of patient’s spiritual care receives in end stage renal disease receiving hemodialysis. Study included 97 patients receiving hemodialysis treatment in five regional hospitals, Southern Thailand. Data was collected between February and March 2017. The research instruments were (1) demographic data that included general information; and &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(2) spiritual care receives scale that was modified and tested for reliability (Cronbach’s alpha coefficient 0.92). Data analysis was performed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regressions. The results were as follows: The mean score of spiritual care receives were at the high level ( x= 2.43, SD =0.22). The results of the multiple regression analysis were all independent variables jointly explained 28.9% of the sample variances in spiritual care receives (R2= 0.29, p&lt; 0.01) and the only factor predicting spiritual care receives with statistical significance was found to be religion (β= 0.12, p &lt; 0.01). According to the study findings patients receiving hemodialysis should enhance their spiritual receives in order to live better with their chronic illness and prolong treatment.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Oraya Yensamer ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2019-03-07 2019-03-07 41 4 44 52 Nursing innovation development: A tool for increasing the perceived risk of progression to end stage renal disease https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/nah/article/view/150353 <p>Chronic kidney disease at the early stage does not generally show any abnormalities. Early screening and investigating the risk of kidney degeneration is, therefore, important for patients as they can be treated promptly. Perceived risk and severity of the disease make the patients more likely to avoid the threats that help to slow down kidney degeneration. The nursing innovation &nbsp;was &nbsp;developed from 26 empirical evidences. According to the evidence-based practice. The &nbsp;tool was a rating scale composed of 7 risk factors &nbsp;predicting the progression of the disease to the end stage. The scores of each factor were 1- 3 points, the total scores were translated into 5 levels. The results showed that the patients’s risk perception was higher after the use of innovation (t = 14.14, mean difference of 4.4, 95% CI 3.75 to 5.05, p&lt;0.001)</p> Ampornpan Theeranut Nonglak Methakanjanasak Khwanruen Kaenkong ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2019-03-06 2019-03-06 41 4 53 65 The effects of preparatory program on pain among older men undergoing cystoscopy https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/nah/article/view/159560 <p>This quasi–experimental research aimed to study the effects of the preparatory program on pain. A numerous research articles have reported the health benefits of vegetarian meals in the prevention and healing of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and others both in experimental animal and epidemiological human studies. However, some investigators suggested that vegetarian diet would not be suitable for CKD according to their lack of energy and low protein content and to their high amounts of potassium and phosphate which may affect the kidney function1. To clarify such the difference, the research articles concerned studies will be reviewed to find out how vegetarian diet could affect the nutrition status of CKD patients and whether the food consumption of phytonutrients and their dietary balance should be managed and controlled for real health benefits.</p> Yupa Chanwikrai ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2019-03-07 2019-03-07 41 4 125 135 Caring of the older persons in aging society https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/nah/article/view/125961 <p>Thailand is encountering the changes of population situation as happened worldwide, entering of aging society.
