The development of smart phone application for symptomatic observation of neurological system in mild traumatic brain injury patients

Abstract

This research and development aims to develop a smartphone application for symptomatic observation of neurological system in order to study the satisfaction of nurses towards the smartphone application. The samples were 25 registered nurses from the emergency department, and the research instruments were the satisfaction questionnaires and the smartphone application with a content validity index of 0.98 (CVI 0.98). The smartphone application was developed based on the action research consisting of 1) Analyzing the problems of patients and the context of nursing; 2) Synthesizing the information regarding the symptomatic observation of neurological disorder; 3) Developing a smartphone application; and 4) Improving to the suggestions and publishing the outcome. According to the research findings, the registered nurses were average of satisfied with the application with the highest level at 4.64 (S.D. 0.49).
