Stability Problems in Thailand’s Southern Provinces : Case Study Kampongtagwa and Bring People Home Project

Abstract

This is the research article that were to find out about the public opinion on The Kampongtagwa project and Bring People home project in the southern border provinces, Thailand. The result of this research will be a guideline to solve the stability problems in the southern border provinces. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews and group discussions. The findings revealed that the public confidence in the Kampongtagwa project is moderate. People scare to join the project because of Insurgents that they take an violence to control the people. The public confidence in The Bring People Home Project is moderate too. The advantage of this project was it gives the opportunity for the people in a Stability Problems whom fled to the abroad to return and surrender. The research suggestions were : 1) the Kampongtagwa Project is to prevent people joining or inaction to the alliances by using a mosque community base. 2) Bring People Home Project, it is the operating to take the accused to the crime justice. The accused were helped by the government for facilitate the litigation and promote careers for the returnees. The government developed and maintained a good individual attitude to protect returning to the alliances. 3) The people had rather known and understood less the details project. In the Future, the two projects should be more widely disseminated than the present.
