Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) to develop biological study management plans under the topic of “The Inheritance of Hereditary Characteristics” according to the constructivist-based learning management plans (CLP) and the traditional learning management plans (TLP) by determining the efficient baseline of 75/75; 2) to find out an effectiveness index of CLP and TLP; and 3) to compare student’s learning achievement after learned by using CLP and TLP. Samples for this study were 80 students from two classrooms which being in Mathayomsuksa 6 at the primary semester of year 2016, Satuk School, Satuk District, Buriram Province, which came from cluster random sampling. The instruments in this research were CLP and TLP, 4 plans for each, with the total instruction of 12 hours by the highest quality of these plans (mean at 4.60 and 4.53, respectively). The 20 item biological learning achievement test had a distinct power between 0.25 - 0.80, the difficulty value between 0.23 - 0.47, and the probability at 0.96. A test was used to collect data which then were synthesized for the develop biological study management plans. The statistical analysis expressed by percentage, mean, standard deviation and hypothesis t-test (Dependent Sample).

The findings found that: 1) under teaching of “The Inheritance of Hereditary Characteristics” for Mathayomsuksa 6 students CLP showed higher efficiency than the criterion (78.38/78) while TLP had lower than that of the criteria (71.85/70.1); 2) the effectiveness index of CLP and TLP were 0.6735 and 0.5579, respectively that means the learning progress of students increased approximately 67.35%  and 55.79%, respectively; and 3) the student group learning via CLP had more significantly student’s learning achievements over than that of via TLP (p-value < 0.05)
