Comparison of the National Health Recommendation Learning Achievement Among School-Aged Children Learn by Comic Book and Traditional Learning

Abstract

     This quasi-experimental research aimed to compare the achievement of the national health Recommendation of Prathomsuksa 4 students taught with National health Recommendation Comic books before and after the experiment and compare the experimental group taught with the National health Recommendation Comic books based on Piaget’s concept and the control group taught with Traditional Learning. The sample group of 60 subjects was purposively selected from two schools under The Bangkok Office of the Basic Education Commission and assigned to one School control group and one School experimental group with 30 students in each group. Data were collected for 4 weeks using the instruments were used national health comic Recommendation books and the National Recommendation Achievement test. Content validity was determined by three experts. The reliability was 0.84. Data were collected in September 2018 and were analyzed by means, standard deviation, Comparison of pre-test and post-test within group with Paired t-test and between groups with Independent t-test.
     The research found that The National Health Recommendation Achievement of Prathomsuksa 4 Students experimental group was higher than after experiment and higher than control group was significantly (p< .001)
     The management of learning by using comic books has a positive effect Learning Achievement of Prathomsuksa 4 students. Therefore, it is recommended to develop the teaching style in a variety of comic forms to be consistent with the development of the learners so that the learners can truly learn.
