As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • Original articles are considered for publication if they have not been published and are not under consideration for publication in press elsewhere.
  • Original articles must be submitted in DOC or DOCX format (Microsoft Office Word), A4 paper size, 8-12 pages including references, and using TH Sarabun PSK front, 14pt size.
  • Original articles must be approved by the Institutional Review Board, IRB or lnstitutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) by specifying the authorization number within the research ethics section. The IRB Approval certificate must be attached in PDF format.
  • Original articles must be reviewed by an English language specialist. The review certificate must be attached in PDF format.
  • Original articles must be checked plagiarism by Turnitin program, Copyleaks, iThenticate or other program. The certificate/report must be attached in PDF format.
  • Complete the list of references as referenced in the content. Use the format specified by the journal (Vancouver Style), and attach the list in PDF format.
  • Persons who wish to submit an article for publication in a journal should note that the publishing fee required by the journal must be paid only after receiving an acknowledgment that their article has been reviewed by experts.

Instructions for Manuscripts Preparation and Submission for Publication

Journal of Research in Nursing-Midwifery and Health Sciences

             The editorial board of the Journal of Research in Nursing-Midwifery and Health Sciences is pleased to receive academic and research articles in Thai and English for publication and dissemination of academic results on nursing and public health of all health conditions and ages. The Journal is particularly focused on the continuity of care and usage of innovation in nursing, including nursing integrated with eastern wisdom that provides new knowledge for improving nursing and public health. We welcome contributions from students, professors, nurses, and academics both in Thailand and abroad. All manuscripts must be reviewed by experts both inside and outside the Faculty (internal and external reviewers), who are specialists in nursing, with experience and expertise in various fields before publishing. Peer review must be at least three persons per article (double-blind peer review). This journal is a four-month periodical, with three issues per year. The editors recommend writing and preparing manuscripts as below:

 

Types of Publications

1. Academic articles that gather or are compiled from documents, case studies, or books to disseminate academic work related to nursing and public health.

2. Research articles on nursing and public health in various fields. The data used for the analysis and presentation of research results shall not exceed five years from the end of data collection and the research process must be considered and approved for research ethics.

 

Conditions for Consideration of the Manuscripts

  1. Manuscripts submitted for publication should neither be published previously nor be under consideration for publication in another journal.
  2. The author must verify that the English abstract is consistent with the Thai abstract and is correct by the principles of English writing. The author can request the Journal to provide a language editor. The author must also attach the certificate of language editing.
  3. Manuscripts must be approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) or lnstitutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). The author must submit the copy of the IRB or IACUC approval certificate.
  4. Manuscripts must be checked plagiarism by Turnitin program, Copyleaks, iThenticate or other program . The certificate/ report must be attached in PDF format.
  5. Reference documents are complete and correct according to the format specified by the journal. (20-30 references for the academic articles and 25-30 references for the research articles) and must attach a list of reference documents (collected as 1 file). Take only the first page of the article/website. If it is a book, add a page of bibliographic information as well. They are arranged from first to last in the order of references at the end of the article.
  6. The editorial office will notify the author of the review results in order for the author to review and revise the manuscript for academic accuracy by requesting the author to return the edited manuscript to the editorial office within a specified period.
  7. The editors will only consider manuscripts that are in the correct format as specified by the Journal.
  8. The article cannot be cancelled once it is reviewed by an expert/ reviewer.

Instructions for Manuscripts Preparation

     Writing a manuscript must consist of information in the following order:

     1. Introduction

         1.1 The title should be short and relevant to the purpose and scope of the content. The length of the title must not exceed 100 characters and must be in both Thai and English. For English titles, do not use capital letters of every word except for a unique name that starts with a capital letter. The title is placed in the middle of the page, using the TH Sarabun PSK front in bold with text size 16.

         1.2 The length of the running title both in Thai and English must not be less than 30 characters and not more than 45 characters.

         1.3 The author's first and last name, academic position, and place of work must be in both Thai and English, placed in the right side of the page by using the TH Sarabun PSK front with text size 14.

         1.4 The main author’s name, address, and email address are placed in the right side of the page by using TH Sarabun PSK front with text size 14.

         1.5 Write Arabic numerals by using superscript on the author's last name to indicate  position and place of work.

         1.6 Write the Superscript symbol * on the main author’s last name.

     2. Abstract

         Academic Article

The content of the Thai abstract should not exceed 300 words, use concise words, and is arranged in the following order:

  • Introduction
  • Conclusion

        Research Article

The content of the Thai abstract should not exceed 300 words and include:

  • Objectives
  • Methods (objective, design, samples, tools, data collection and data analysis)
  • Results
  • Conclusion

     3. Keywords

        There should bet three to five keywords related to the article separated by a semicolon (;)

     4. Main document

        Academic Article

        The manuscript should contain eight to ten pages including references using the TH Sarabun PSK front with text size 14 (single-space), in the following order:

  • Introduction should include principles and rationale, objectives, scope of the subject, and definitions.
  • Content is part of the story presented divided into main issues, secondary issues, and sub-issues by inserting ideas, attitudes, and opinions in various aspects based on empirical evidence and reliable references.
  • Conclusion is a clear and concise summary of the content of the entire article by summarizing the content that presented and whether it is positive or negative. 
  • Recommendations and Implications are recommendations for implementing or applying the research results.
  • Participation in article writing indicates the authors' participation.
  • Conflict of interest is the disclosure of the authors' interests.
  • Acknowledgment should be brief, for example, funding sources for the study from any agency involved in research other than regular work.
  • Identification of funding sources (if any)
  • References contain 20-30 references by using the Vancouver style only.
  • Tables, pictures, and charts are limited to one to two images.

           Research Article

           The manuscript should contains eight to ten pages including references using the TH Sarabun PSK front with text size 14 (single-space), in the following order:

  • Significance of the problem presents the background, problem, idea, or need of research, which describes the status of the research problem or main points to be presented.
  • Research questions are the questions that researchers set out to find answers that will lead to methods for solving research problems.
  • Objectives must be clear, measurable, and consistent with the study.
  • Research Design
    - Hypothesis (if any) is a statement designed to predict the outcome of the research.
    - Research Conceptual Framework (if any) is the key concept or principle that is formulated from the compilation of related theories and research.
  • Research Methods

           - Population and Sample  
           - Ethical Consideration
           -
Data Collection Instrument
           -
Data analysis
           -
Results must be presented in a relevant hierarchy of research. Tables or charts should not exceed three images with a clear interpretation and analysis of the findings.
           - Discussion is to combine, compare, and interpret research results with the theories, concepts, and related research as well as linking research results in accordance with research issues.
           - Limitation is an anticipating of something that may happen accidentally and uncontrollably in the research, for example information, sources, or methods that the researcher cannot control, which limited the scope of the study.
           - Conclusion is a clear and concise summary of the content of the entire article by summarizing the content presented and whether it is positive or negative.

Writing the References in Vancouver Style

     Thai references must be changed to English and written in English format. For writing the author's name, write the surname followed by the first name and adjust the year B.E. to the year A.D., and add the word “Thai” at the end of the reference document.

     For the abbreviation of Thai journals in English, you can find the abbreviations of Thai journals in the TCI base at https://tci-thailand.org/list%20journal.php. If the journal is not in the TCI base, use the abbreviation as specified by the journal. For the abbreviation of English Journal, you can search at https://www.nlm.nih.gov.

     The references must be reliable and up-to-date for no more than 10 years, except for certain types of theoretical or philosophical books. The reference should be based on various sources, such as academic articles, research articles from Thai and foreign journals. 

 

In-Text Citation

In-Text Citation in the Vancouver Style is identified by Arabic numbers in superscript as follows; 

  1. In-Text Citation, where the emphasis is placed on the author, a number can be placed next to the author's name (g. Walker1).
  2. In-Text Citation, where the author is not part of the context, a number can be placed next to the cited quotes (e.g. The results showed that motherhood made them take responsibility for their lives and look forward to the future.10).
  3. When multiple references are cited, use a hyphen ( - ) or commas ( , ) between the numbers in a multiple citation (e.g. Being mothers also made adolescents more responsible in their new maternal role11,12).
  4. In-Text Citation number must be numerically sequenced from 1, 2, 3, … to the end of the document. If you would like to cite a previously cited source, place the same cited number.
  5. In-Text Citation number in the content must match the number referenced at the end of the article.
  6. In-Text Citation for two authors uses “and” between the author’s last name (e.g. Thasaneesuwan and Nilmanat).
  7. In-Text Citation for three authors uses “,” and “and” between the author’s last name (e.g. Yodchai, Thasaneesuwan and Nilmanat).
  8. In-Text Citation for more than three authors: use only one author's last name and followed by “et al.” (e.g. Ingsathit, et al.).
