Abstract

Child-centered instruction based on project-based learning is a form of learning appropriate for 21st century learners because activities are focused on fulfilling the interests of students, and self-knowledge. Moreover, activities can be applied to all at levels. Therefore, the students are enthusiastic and engaged in learning. Moreover, they can create new knowledge by themselves. Teachers will be a mentor or facilitator to students. This process raises the motivation to solve problems and link knowledge to the world of reality. Students will choose how to find the answer, define data sources, practice and study by themselves. This process resulted in the integration of knowledge, skills to solve problems, teamwork, sharing, new knowledge and the ability to apply to real life. Besides, it can create a culture of learning and continuous and self-sustainable that is life-long learning and can cause 21st century learning skills; learning and innovation skills, information, media and technology skills and life and career skills.
