Abstract

The Kruawan pattern on Nang Phaya Temple’s wall has an endemic identity. Application of the
pattern to design and produce the jewelry is the conservation and dissemination of local silver jewelry
wisdom and craftsmanship. This study uses the questionnaires to investigate tourist satisfaction of the
development of antique silver jewelry styles in Si Satchanalai District, Sukhothai. A sample of 100 people
was selected by Purposive Sampling from people interested in buying silver jewelry in Si Satchanalai
District, Sukhothai and Mueang Phitsanulok District, Phitsanulok. From the study, 62% and 38% of
participants are female and male respectively. Most of them worked other occupations, and they were
aged between 21 and 30 years who will graduate or working. The participants wanted to dress
appropriately according to the fashion and had an income ranging between 10,001-20,000 THB per
month. The tourists were highly satisfied the beauty, function and unique style of the antique silver
jewelry. Therefore, development of antique silver jewelry styles which combine the endemic identity of
the area and contemporary features can attract tourists, which in turn can increase opportunities and
incomes. Moreover, it also crates the new target groups for entrepreneurs. Moreover, it can support
craftsmen so that they can create new antique silver jewelry styles to meet and satisfy tourist.
