The Effects of Using an Integrated Guidance Activities Package to Enhance Child Development Enhancing Behaviors of Parents Whose Children Are Suspected to Have Delayed Development at Tessaban 2 (Wat Payang) School in Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The purposes of this study were (1) to compare the effect of parent’s behaviors enhancing about children developmental in experimental group before and after using an integrated guidance activities package to enhance child development enhancing behaviors and (2) to compare the effect of an enhancing behaviors between experimental group after using an integrated guidance activities package to enhance child development enhancing behaviors and control group after using information activities package of children developmental.


The research sample consisted of 65 parents. They were randomly assigned into an experimental group which is comprised 33 parents and a control group which is comprised 32 parents. The employed statistics for data analysis were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.


The research findings were (1) after the experiment in experimental group which is using an integrated guidance activities package to enhance child development enhancing behaviors, the post-experiment of behaviors enhancing about children developmental were significantly higher than their pre-experiment at the .05 level; (2) after using an integrated guidance activities package to enhance child development enhancing behaviors about children developmental scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group which is using the information activities package of children developmental at the .05 level.
