The objective of this research is to study the satisfaction of truck fleet operators with three aspects of the logistics management system, namely, management, location and compensation. The results obtained from the afore-said aspects are then compared according to physical
characteristics of the warehouse and job characteristics. This research is a quantitative research. The research sample consisted of 384 truck fleet operators who run their routine jobs at the distribution centers at various provinces throughout Thailand. They were purposively selected
from 10 provinces in which the logistics volumes were high. A questionnaire was used for data collection. The data was analyzed with descriptive statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and with inferential statistics of one-way analysis of variance, and Fisher’s LSD
(Least Significant Difference).
The research outcome indicates that the majority (61.50%) of the distribution centers in the 10 provinces are located in the Central Region of Thailand. The majority of them (59.60%) are dry grocery distribution centers. The largest group of drivers in the research sample (44.30%)
consists of those who have their own carriers, and 44.30% of them have been working for 1-5 years in the service. As for their satisfaction, 48.70% of the drivers in the sample are satisfied with the logistics management system at the moderate level (satisfaction mean = 3.26). Hypothesis testing
results show that the type of distribution center variable affects the satisfaction with location; the job position variable affects the satisfaction as a whole, the satisfaction with the management, and the satisfaction with compensation; and the duration of service variable affects the satisfaction
with the management system at the .05 level of statistical significance; on the other hand, the warehouse location variable does not have any effect on any satisfaction variable.
