Abstract

Curriculum evaluation is a process that provides information for making decisions on curriculum development, curriculum improvement, and curriculum change. Thus, curriculum evaluation is really important to develop a better curriculum. CIPPIEST model is an alternative evaluation concept because it is focusing on decision making that can completely evaluate all curriculum components reasonably and systematically. Moreover, it is not particularly evaluated any single component but it continuously evaluates, gives completed information, and could be used for nursing curriculum evaluation. CIPPIEST model consists of 8 components as follows; 1) context, 2) input, 3) process, 4) product, 5) impact, 6) effectiveness, 7) sustainability, and 8) transportability.
